Volunteerism and Leadership

I have gained many experiences in volunteerism and leadership. I have accumulated over 500 hours of volunteer experience through the Wyoming Congressional Award Programme – of which I have been awarded the bronze, silver and gold awards – and the University of Iowa’s College of Education. My student teaching experiences was a significant volunteer opportunity, as well as an area to exhibit and develop leadership through guiding and maintain a classroom environment. At the University of Iowa, I was an officer of the international relations group “Global Buddies”, which strove to facilitate connectivity for the university’s international student community. At the University of Limerick, I find the PhD experience, itself to be an excellent outlet of leadership. During this time, I have volunteered for the 44th ICTM-World’s Annual Conference. I am also a founding member of the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance’s PhD student forum, Taighde Dámh Chruinne Éireann, and was the Public Relations Officer form 2018-2020. Through this forum, I helped to organise the Annual SMI/ICTM Postgraduate Conference.
